5 Roses
Thursday was my birthday, and all day I thought of Adam. I think that wherever he is, he was thinking of me, because I felt him so strongly.
There is a rose bush in our yard. It’s a bit weak and scraggly and every four or five months it produces one perfect rose. I noticed this week that it was sprouting multiple buds… and on my birthday, five perfect roses were in full bloom. That has never happened before on that bush, and I immediately thought of Adam.
I felt it was his gift to me… or God’s gift to me in Adam’s honor. Those feelings when they come are precious. They are healing, comforting and very real.
Other people I have spoken to have mentioned these “special” events which make them feel their loved one is close. I’d love it if others would use this space to share such events. Please feel free to share your stories.
